The Director of Business Research (BR) at a business consultancy company oversees and directs research initiatives to provide strategic insights and support for client decision-making. This role involves managing a team of researchers, developing research strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality reports and analyses.

 

Responsibilities and Qualifications :

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of researchers, ensuring effective project management and timely delivery of research outputs.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement research strategies aligned with the company’s goals and clients’ needs.
  • Research Design: Oversee the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies, including market analysis, competitor analysis, and trend forecasting.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze research data and synthesize findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their research needs, present findings, and offer consultancy on strategic decisions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and reliability of research reports and recommendations.
  • Budget Management: Manage research budgets and resources effectively to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business research, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role within a consultancy or research firm.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in research methodologies, and experience with data analysis tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of market research techniques, industry trends, and business strategy. Familiarity with advanced research software and tools is advantageous.
