Project Overview
Both medical cities will operate under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, specifically structured as Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain, and Transfer (DBFOMT). It is important to note that the project will not include clinical operations. The King Faisal Medical City is set to accommodate 1,024 beds, while Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz Medical City will have a capacity of 442 beds.
Objectives and Goals
The PPP model emphasizes private sector involvement in the development process, promoting innovative design solutions that adhere to contemporary healthcare delivery standards. The establishment of these medical cities is crucial for meeting the increasing demand for tertiary specialized care in the southern and northern regions of Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, private sector participation is aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the role of the private sector in healthcare services, improve infrastructure, and optimize health facility management.
Call for Participation
Local and international investors interested in participating in this transformative healthcare initiative are encouraged to visit the NCP website. There, they can access the EOI document, which provides detailed project information. The deadline for submitting EOIs is set for 10 January 2022, at 3:00 PM KSA time.
This project represents a significant opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the enhancement of healthcare services in Saudi Arabia while aligning with national development goals.
