The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has announced the prequalification of 19 developers, including 10 Saudi firms, for the ambitious Jazan Cluster Small Sewage Treatment Plant (SSTP) project. This project aims to establish a sewage treatment facility with a capacity of 104,500 cubic meters per day, alongside a comprehensive collecting network.

Project Overview

The Jazan Cluster will consist of 17 small sewage treatment plants, each varying in size from 1,000 to 15,000 cubic meters per day. In total, the associated collection network will span approximately 1,500 kilometers, with individual segment lengths ranging from 7 kilometers to 415 kilometers.

Scope of Work

The project’s scope includes a range of critical infrastructure components:

  • Influent Connections: Establishing connections for incoming wastewater.
  • Tanker Discharge Points: Designated areas for wastewater tanker unloading.
  • By-Passes and Inlet Works: Systems for managing flow during maintenance.
  • Treatment Facilities: Comprehensive treatment processes covering primary, secondary, and tertiary stages.
  • Pumping Facilities: Essential for moving treated and untreated wastewater.
  • Support Infrastructure: All associated civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works, including supply, control, and instrumentation systems.
