The Ministry of Health (MoH) has officially launched the Expression of Interest (EOI) phase for the clinical and non-clinical operations and maintenance of the SABIC Behavioral Care Specialist Hospital project. This initiative is a collaborative effort with the National Center for Privatization and Public-Private Partnerships (NCP) and is located in the Al-Nargis district of North Riyadh.

Project Overview
The SABIC Behavioral Care Specialist Hospital, underpinned by the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) social responsibility program, will feature a modern facility that is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The hospital will occupy a spacious 62,500 square meters and will be designed to accommodate up to 150 beds.
Key Features of the Hospital:
- Inpatient Treatment: Five dedicated inpatient treatment rooms.
- Outpatient Services: Nineteen outpatient clinics.
- Daycare Facilities: Six daycare treatment rooms.
Purpose and Vision
This facility represents a significant advancement in enhancing access to mental health and substance abuse treatment across the Kingdom. The hospital will provide specialized therapy for both adults and adolescents, ensuring care is accessible to all genders.
The project aligns with the national mental health paradigm, focusing on delivering high-quality care that adheres to international best practices. Furthermore, the initiative aims to strengthen private sector involvement in the healthcare landscape, contributing to one of the critical objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
