The water company, jointly owned by Hidraqua and the Torrevieja town hall, has announced a tender for the cleaning of the town’s drainage system. The contract, valued at €2,159,054, will cover a period of three years.
Due to the lack of regular maintenance, as is often the case in Torrevieja, the required cleaning efforts are more extensive and costly. Agamed, the local water management entity, has estimated this cost for maintaining the sewerage network.
Interested bidders must demonstrate financial and technical reliability by submitting at least two certificates of similar contracts completed within the last five years.
The awarded contractor will be responsible for inspecting, collecting data, and performing preventive cleaning of the sewer and stormwater systems, including gates, valves, pumping stations, and the treatment plant. Additionally, they must handle the transportation of waste to the treatment plant or an authorised disposal site.
