In a significant step towards sustainable development, SCG International has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BUNA to advance green construction technologies in Saudi Arabia. This partnership aligns with SCG’s ambitious expansion goals within the South Asia, Middle East, and Africa (SAMEA) region.
The collaboration will focus on the implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions, including Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC), SCG’s advanced Ready Mix Concrete technology, and cutting-edge 3D printing technologies. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality and sustainability of construction practices in the Kingdom.
Leading the initiative are SCG Managing Director Abhijit Datta and BUNA CEO Eslam M Radwan. Their partnership will integrate UHPC into BUNA’s development projects, alongside utilizing jacketing systems to bolster structural integrity and sustainability. In the future, BUNA plans to showcase SCG’s building materials in the showrooms of Sumou Holding, BUNA’s parent company, throughout the Kingdom.
“This collaboration will not only improve our projects but also showcase green construction technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aligning with KSA’s Vision 2030,” stated Radwan. Datta emphasized the importance of this partnership, expressing hope that it will leverage SCG’s innovative capabilities in construction technologies. He noted BUNA’s significant role as a major player in the Saudi Arabian construction sector, remarking, “Together we hope to lay the foundation for a future where technologies and partnerships will help transform the way buildings are constructed. Moreover, we aim to leverage BUNA’s capabilities to collaborate with us in Thailand and ASEAN countries.”
