A new collaboration between two industry leaders will combine their expertise in industrial research, development, and innovative lower-carbon hydrogen and ammonia cracking technologies.

Central to this partnership is the ammonia cracking catalyst, co-developed by Aramco and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). This catalyst will be evaluated alongside others as a potential breakthrough in the emerging technology.

Aramco and Linde Engineering have also committed to building a demonstration plant in northern Germany to showcase this cutting-edge ammonia cracking process.

With the lower-carbon ammonia sector playing a pivotal role, this partnership aims to help bridge the gap between domestic renewable energy production and overall energy consumption, a key step toward global energy sustainability.
