Citizens Energy Group is excited to announce its second annual Community Resource Day, taking place on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its headquarters at 2020 North Meridian Street. This event aims to provide valuable resources to local families as the colder months approach. Jeffrey Harrison, President & CEO of Citizens Energy Group, expressed enthusiasm for the event, which will feature music, games, a pickleball court, and free food for the first 500 attendees. “We’re proud to offer this event to the community and support our neighbors in need,” Harrison stated.
While the day promises fun and entertainment, its primary goal is to provide support and resources to the community. “We’ll have staff on-site to assist customers with financial aid for their energy bills,” Harrison explained, emphasizing the importance of helping families prepare for winter. Additionally, information about other available services will be shared, encouraging attendees to pass along the resources to friends and family.
This outreach effort is part of a broader initiative by Citizens Energy Group to ensure that customers receive the assistance they require. “We’re listening to our customers, and this event is something they requested,” said Harrison. The company is dedicated to making energy services accessible to everyone.
To ensure inclusivity, Citizens Energy Group will provide translators for Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Burmese dialects. “We don’t want language to be a barrier,” Harrison emphasized, highlighting the importance of making everyone feel welcome.
Community Resource Day is a free event that offers residents a unique opportunity to connect with essential resources while enjoying a family-friendly atmosphere.
