Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) is making significant strides in the construction of its ambitious mega project in Makkah, with plans to complete the second and third phases by the fourth quarter of this year. The fourth phase is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024.
To meet these timelines, JODC has established strategic partnership agreements with several leading firms, including Fluor International, ensuring a collaborative approach to project delivery.
Khaled Al Amoudi, CEO of JODC, stated, “As part of our strategic transformation plan, we have initiated essential initiatives within JODC’s comprehensive financial, organizational, and operational optimization framework. This approach has enabled us to set clear objectives for all current phases of the project.”
The JODC master project covers a substantial built-up area of over 2.5 million square meters, situated on more than 23.5 hectares of land. The construction is being executed in stages, with phase one already completed. The second, third, and fourth phases are currently underway. Once fully operational, the project will feature a total of 15 towers, providing 5,000 rooms across five- and four-star hotels.
Renowned hospitality brands such as Jumeirah International Hotel Group, Archipelago International, H Hotels and Resorts, and Emaar Hospitality are set to operate the hotels within the development.
Saad bin Aiban, Chief Development and Projects Manager, added, “We have collaborated with esteemed experts to ensure the successful completion of all existing phases and the necessary infrastructure in line with our revised launch targets. Going forward, we will focus on mobilizing all necessary resources, including financial and human capital, to guarantee that the project is completed on time and within budget.”
