Technal, a prominent manufacturer renowned for its sustainable, energy-efficient, and high-performance aluminum windows, doors, and façades, has officially inaugurated its new regional headquarters in Riyadh. This strategic move is part of Technal’s commitment to enhancing its presence in the Saudi market, where it has been operational for over 44 years.
As a subsidiary of Hydro Extruded Solutions, which is part of Norway-based Hydro—a global leader in aluminum and energy solutions—Technal employs approximately 32,000 people across more than 140 locations in 40 countries. The establishment of the new headquarters in Riyadh positions Technal to better serve its local clientele, including architects, consultants, contractors, and developers, with top-tier aluminum products tailored to meet the specific needs of the region.
Ambassador Thomas Lid Ball, the Norwegian representative to Saudi Arabia, expressed enthusiasm for Technal’s contributions, stating, “We are proud to have Technal in Saudi Arabia contributing to low-carbon technologies for the construction sector. I am confident that Technal will contribute to implementing sustainable solutions that support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.”
Sam Robinson, Managing Director of Hydro Building Systems (Asia), also highlighted the significance of this development, remarking, “This is an exciting milestone as we outline our long-term interest in supporting decarbonization through our solutions in Saudi Arabia. By investing in recycled and recyclable products, building developers can lower the embodied carbon by a minimum of 75% and create more end-of-life value for their buildings, thereby contributing to a circular economy.”
The launch of the regional headquarters not only signifies Technal’s commitment to innovation and sustainability but also aligns with the broader objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to foster sustainable development and diversify the economy.
