A Global Vision for Engineering Excellence

Dr. Waleed El Sweedy, the Chairman of Precision Consulting Engineering Company (PCE), is leading a charge into the international engineering landscape, firmly prioritizing global business developments and competition beyond local markets. His vision? To position PCE among the top five engineering consulting firms in the Middle East.

Reflecting on his remarkable career, Dr. El Sweedy traces his roots back to the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University. His commitment to blending science and management is evident in his academic achievements: a Master’s and Doctorate from Cairo University, alongside an MBA from ESLSCA University in France.

In addition to his role at PCE, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Engineering Consultation Committee of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association. He emphasizes the importance of continuous collaboration in advancing the engineering consulting profession.

PCE was founded in 2008 with a clear mission: to offer a diverse range of engineering services. The company’s expertise spans architectural design, electromechanical work, construction, landscape architecture, and infrastructure development. As PCE expanded, it grew into the PCE Group, leading to the creation of subsidiaries like PCE Project Management.

In 2014, Dr. El Sweedy established an academy dedicated to training the next generation of engineers. Collaborating with the Syndicate of Engineers and prestigious institutions such as Cairo and Ain Shams Universities, the academy has successfully integrated many graduates into PCE’s workforce.

PCE has further diversified its portfolio with the launch of PCE Hospitality, which specializes in hotel operations, supported by a team with over 50 years of combined experience. Following that, PCE Interior Design was introduced, focusing on creating innovative designs for various projects, including factories, hotels, and residential properties. Additionally, PCE Industrial Company was established to assist in factory construction and guide investors through project execution, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to operational facility.

Dr. El Sweedy reflects on Egypt’s development over the past decade, noting the concerted efforts to create a new generation of cities. He highlights the critical role of enhancing the industrial, tourism, and agriculture sectors in revitalizing the broader Egyptian economy.

As PCE looks outward, Dr. El Sweedy discusses the company’s growth in the Saudi market, where they provide comprehensive services and project oversight. Leveraging their extensive experience, PCE maintains a commitment to delivering high-quality work across various projects. He expresses gratitude for the trust that Egyptian companies have earned in Saudi Arabia.

Strategically headquartered in Riyadh, PCE has embarked on exciting projects in the innovative city of NEOM, including a landmark theater spanning 120,000 square meters. As the general consultant, PCE has overseen both the design and implementation phases of this major project located on King Abdul Aziz Street in Jeddah.

PCE is also actively involved in the “Jeddah Cove” project, serving as general consultants and finalizing designs across multiple engineering disciplines. Their ambitious “Formula 1” initiative features interconnected buildings, a tower, and several commercial and administrative structures in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Maaref School.

With two successful projects completed in NEOM, PCE is gearing up for a third, having already executed twelve projects in the Saudi market over the past year. Looking ahead, Dr. El Sweedy hints at upcoming specialized projects, including one in the pharmaceutical sector in Sharjah, alongside ongoing developments for a food factory and a 14-story administrative building in the Emirates.

PCE is also exploring opportunities in Europe, particularly in Italy, and looking into reconstruction efforts across various regions. Dr. El Sweedy has ambitious plans for establishing a presence in Oman.

Turning attention to Africa, he highlights the vibrant industrial and urban transformations occurring in several African nations. Notably, he mentions a country pursuing a project akin to Egypt’s Administrative Capital. Recognizing this potential, PCE aims to incorporate these insights into its 2024 strategy through the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association, focusing on forming alliances to navigate projects effectively across African markets.

Dr. El Sweedy underscores that the real asset of any engineering firm lies in its people. He emphasizes that success is rooted in investing in human resources. At PCE, training is a top priority, with courses designed to enhance performance and spark innovative thinking. He proudly shares that the company has implemented overseas training programs to ensure its engineers remain at the forefront of the industry.
