ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s foremost multi-asset class real estate developer and a giga-project owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), recently hosted its inaugural Commercial Bootcamp. This event aimed to empower general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with enhanced upskilling opportunities in the construction industry. Attended by local firms, the Bootcamp highlighted ROSHN’s commitment to expanding the number and capabilities of local contractors while contributing to the diversification of the Kingdom’s economy.
The Bootcamp was crafted to equip contractors with essential skills in construction cost management, thereby boosting their competitiveness and aiding them in making informed financial decisions. In this first edition, participants were taught how to develop precise cost estimates using advanced methods and software tools; manage costs effectively throughout a project; handle cost risks and changes; and optimize profitability through efficient financial management, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering.
Iain McBride, Executive Director of Commercial at ROSHN Group, commented: “At ROSHN, we take pride in our role as a national leader in the real estate sector, dedicated to uplifting, enhancing, and empowering Saudi businesses while strengthening our supply chains through localization and diversification. Our Commercial Bootcamp embodies our commitment to empowerment, opportunity, and responsibility. We aim to raise standards and establish Saudi Arabia as a center of excellence, where local contractors are recognized as globally trusted partners, showcasing their skills and capabilities in giga-projects built to international standards.”
