Jacques, previously Chief Commercial Officer for Egis in the Middle East, has a proven track record of success across consulting, engineering, project management, and public-private partnerships (PPP). His role now extends across a comprehensive portfolio that includes Building Engineering, Architecture, Environment, Façade & Sustainability, Water, and Energy Services. His leadership will be instrumental in shaping Egis’ strategy in infrastructure, buildings, and urban planning, furthering the company’s mission of delivering sustainable solutions.

Championing Collaborative Sustainable Development

Dr. Ali Amiri has stepped into the role of Building Engineering, Façade & Sustainability Director for the Middle East & South Asia. Dr. Amiri is recognized for his expertise in project and design management, with a focus on strengthening Egis’ ties with global and regional Green Building Councils. His commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by his championing of various green initiatives. Using cutting-edge Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital engineering tools, Dr. Amiri will oversee the delivery of engineering services focused on sustainability and innovation in building design.

Laure Russier, an award-winning leader in sustainable infrastructure, has been appointed Director of Water, Energy, Ports & Marine Ecology for the Middle East & South Asia. Laure’s dedication to large-scale sustainable projects has earned her numerous regional awards in 2023, including Eco-Friendly Professional of the Year and Women Executive of the Year. Pedram Rad joins as Architecture Director for the Middle East & South Asia, bringing over 25 years of design experience across sectors such as hospitality, residential, and commercial developments. Leveraging recent acquisitions of U+A in the UAE and Omrania in Saudi Arabia, Pedram will drive innovative design solutions tailored to client needs while upholding industry standards.

Yassmin Al Khatib, the new Environment Director for the Middle East & South Asia, brings extensive experience in leading environmental strategies for both public and private sector clients. Yassmin’s expertise will further strengthen Egis’ commitment to environmental responsibility, focusing on sustainable strategies that reflect the region’s unique ecological needs.

Solidifying Leadership in Saudi Arabia

Egis has also made strategic appointments to reinforce its leadership in Saudi Arabia. Charles Trad has been named Energy & Sustainable Cities Director for the Kingdom, where he will oversee major projects in architecture, building engineering, water and energy, nuclear, and sustainability. With over 30 years of experience, Charles will lead the charge in delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions across the Kingdom, solidifying Egis’ position as a pioneer in the field.

In a key move for architectural excellence, Marwan Bsaibes has joined as Chief Operations Officer of Omrania, the leading architectural firm recently acquired by Egis. Marwan’s deep expertise will play a crucial role in driving Omrania’s success, enhancing Egis and Omrania’s combined efforts in sustainable urban planning and design in Saudi Arabia.
