Ayman Tamer: Thank you for having me. Tamer Group’s journey began with a single pharmacy established by my great-grandfather in 1922. This small venture was the foundation of what would eventually become a diverse conglomerate. Over the decades, we expanded from pharmaceuticals into various sectors, including logistics and investments. Each step was driven by a commitment to innovation and growth.
Interviewer: That’s an impressive legacy. What role did you play in shaping the direction of Tamer Group?
Ayman Tamer: After completing my education, I joined the family business and brought new perspectives and ideas. My focus was on driving innovation and diversification. Under my leadership, we expanded our operations, creating new divisions like Tamer Investments, Tamer Logistics, Tamer Industries, Tamer Innovate, and AMPC Ltd. Each of these plays a crucial role in our overall strategy.
Interviewer: It sounds like diversification has been key to Tamer Group’s success. Can you elaborate on some of the strategic acquisitions and partnerships that have been pivotal for the group?
Ayman Tamer: Absolutely. Strategic acquisitions and partnerships have indeed been vital. For instance, our joint venture with SAJA has significantly enhanced our capabilities and market reach. Additionally, our partnerships with companies like Arabio, Sukoon, and Sanofi Arabia have allowed us to strengthen our presence in the healthcare sector and contribute to better medical outcomes.
Interviewer: Speaking of healthcare, Tamer Group has made substantial investments in this field. Can you tell us more about these contributions?
Ayman Tamer: Healthcare has always been a core focus for us. We’ve invested in partnerships with leading healthcare entities, including Roche Diagnostics Saudi Arabia and United Gulf Health. These collaborations aim to advance medical technology and improve healthcare services in the region. Our goal is to drive positive change and enhance the well-being of the communities we serve.
Interviewer: Beyond business, you are also involved in education and advisory roles. How do these roles complement your work with Tamer Group?
Ayman Tamer: My involvement in education and advisory roles is deeply fulfilling. Serving on the boards of organizations like SAJA and Arabio, as well as being an honorary advisory board member of Effat University, allows me to contribute to knowledge-sharing and educational development. These roles help me stay connected with industry trends and foster a culture of continuous learning, which ultimately benefits Tamer Group.
