Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) has successfully completed the construction of several new water reservoirs to meet the needs of residents in Diriyah governorate and the districts of Hittin and Al Nakheel, north of Riyadh.

The reservoirs, with a total investment exceeding SAR 43 million ($11.4 million), mark the first phase of Riyadh’s Strategic Water Plan. This phase includes the construction and operation of two new water tanks, each with a daily capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, as well as the operation of an existing tank with a capacity of 4,000 cubic meters. The combined storage capacity now stands at 24,000 cubic meters.

The project aims to enhance the efficiency and stability of water operations, ensuring continuous water supply, particularly to the elevated areas of Hittin and Al Nakheel. NWC’s ongoing efforts are focused on meeting the growing demand for high-quality drinking water and maintaining reliable distribution according to established schedules.
