The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has awarded a significant road development contract valued at 13 billion Saudi riyals ($3.46 billion) to enhance the city’s transportation infrastructure.
The initial phase of this program focuses on upgrading the ring and main roads, creating a connected network to support sustainable transport and logistics services in Riyadh, according to a report by the Saudi Press Agency.
This development is part of the broader Vision 2030 objectives, aiming to position Riyadh as one of the world’s leading cities. The first phase is expected to take three to four years to complete, with additional contracts to be announced by the commission in the coming months.
